Owner & Head Trainer
"The day I got my drivers license I started going to the local YMCA at 5am to get my daily workout in before going to school. A few years later, as a college student, I sourced a personal trainer looking to be challenged and expand my knowledge of the sport. That personal trainer, Dennis Bell, tapped into my love of fitness, helped me grow my skills, introduced me to the endorphin high intense physical activity brings, and brought out my passion for fitness. Fitness has brought so much more into my life than just physical benefits. It has allowed me to tap into the mind, body, soul connection that has made me a much kinder, more compassionate, and joyful person which has brought me closer to others including good friends, family, and strangers alike. My time in the “gym” allows me to focus, to meditate, to be myself without censorship, and has shown me that I am capable of anything I set my mind to and work hard for. My mission is to share this passion with others in hopes of spreading kindness, compassion, happiness, and health."

One of the first questions I get when I meet people is "how tall are you? Do you play basketball?" I used to answer, "no way, I'm not an athlete!" But at this point in my fitness journey, my answer is, "not yet! But maybe someday!' My first love in fitness was running. I always felt inspired watching marathon runners and was always encouraged to run by my father-in law, a triathlete. So I decided to put on my sneakers and run a mile. It was awful. But I dug deep, pushed myself, and stuck with it. There had to be a reason why so many people did this, right? I soon figured out, it was that post-run high where I felt like I could take on the world that kept me lacing up again and again. One day I found myself on a ten mile run! What an incredible feeling it was to overcome not just the physical obstacles, but the obstacle that was in my own head, the little voice that dismissed my abilities. From there, I began to explore other avenues of fitness I had once written off as things I couldn't or didn't do. I discovered that through exercise, I was empowered. I could challenge my mind, my body, and my attitude in ways I never thought possible. I find myself to be a more positive thinker, and I have a productive way to de-stress. Not to mention, working out and living an active lifestyle is FUN! My goal as a fitness instructor is to help others find that same empowerment, have a great time starting healthy habits, and live their best life.

One of the biggest reasons I am so passionate about being a personal trainer is that I struggled with my weight for a long time. I wasn’t in the right place mentally and therefore I couldn’t get in the right place to become happy physically. It’s not easy; working on yourself takes a lot of dedication. I woke up one day and realized that if I wanted to achieve my goals of becoming a firefighter and a personal trainer I had to change my lifestyle. I worked hard to get myself in the right state of mind to be able to then work on getting myself where I wanted to be physically. I set goals, made a plan, and followed through. I started eating healthy and going to the gym regularly. Once I got into a routine it became a no-brainer. Working out became fun and eating healthy is something I now enjoy. I achieved my goals; finally passing the physical exam to become a firefighter and believed in myself enough to become a personal trainer. Trust me, I had a lot of ups and downs, but once you set your mind to something, anything is possible. That is what I am dedicated to helping my clients do, we will set a goal together and together we will accomplish it! Together we can make any goal a reality!
